Erlwald

A dark forest, mostly of alder trees, it has always been dark and forboding, filled with dangerous animals and fierce competition up the food chain. Although dangerous to those unfamiliar with the area, the primal way of life in the forest is healthy and just, although justice in that wilderness often meant quick death for the unprepared.

Soon rose the menace of the ubiquitous Erlkonig, the Alder King, once the champion of justice and keeper of equality in the forest. But he turned to an evil array of monsters, tricks, and diseases to turn the forest into an evil, tortuous, growing state of decomposition. Hand and his friends, as part of the Story of Robos, must eliminate the Erlkonig (or free him from the control of Vear) and restore the forest to its once pleasant (or, at least, more pleasant) state.
